Richard Johson, the Crowdfunding teacher

We can learn lessons from every teacher, such as Richard Johson. He created Australia's first school science laboratory specifically for young children of Rostrata Primary School in Perth, Australia. From bringing Mars into the class to installing an augmented sandbox, Richard Johnson has taken teaching the fundamentals of Science to the molecular level. Bringing together his innovation in teaching with entrepreneurial skills, he employed the crowdfunding method to set up the lab.

In his own words, during an interview, he expressed, "we've failed to let our education systems evolve into that 21st-century learning zone." His sheer determination to build the lab transpired from his thought of "taking kids where the school bus can't go,"

He believes "teachers could drive change one classroom at a time."

The determination of one teacher can transform the loves of many.
